Even though Grady and I had known each other for years, we had never played music together. We had finally become neighbors and bandless (and I think heartbroken, if I remember correctly) at the same exact time, so I thought I'd walk my guitar over to his house and start a band with him. I didn't exactly know if it would work out. Grady is a bit out of my league, and not just musically. I did know he could get weird, though, and that's what I wanted. I wanted very few fours, a bunch of noodling, (something I usually shy away from) and tons of noise. we Played a few shows with Robbie Cobra on drums, but it became clear almost immediately that I did not want to sing anymore. I just wanted to focus on being out of my element with my guitar. Our friend Barrot stepped up and fit perfectly. I may be wrong, but I think it's obvious that we as a band liked Black Flag, the Residents, weed, the Dicks, and fucked up jazz. We cleared the room every time we played. I really really liked this band. A lot. This band was named by Daniel Westcott, and is not to be confused with any artsy fartsy band of the same name from ohio or something.
