While living in Pensacola in a rented shit-hole room, I started Dickhead Beach with Joey Fendley, Kevin Hinds, and Sam. The name of the band comes from a spot at Pensacola Beach where all the dickhead jocks have gathered since the beginning of time. We broke up mid recording, and were unable to finish vocals on some tracks. I figured what the hell, they're all pretty short. Oh yeah, I tuned my guitar down two whole steps (my E string was a C) for this band!! I don't know why I did this, I just wanted to do things differently.
